Behavior Expectations

Students are expected to follow the Kohler school rules:

Eighth Grade

Welcome Kohler Class of 2016-17!


All 8th Grade Kohler students are responsible for bringing the following materials to class everyday:

  • A 3-Ring Binder ( at least 2 inches)
  • A package of subject dividers
  • A pencil pouch or pencil box
  • Pencils
  • Black, blue, and red pens (at least one of each)
  • A highlighter
  • Scissors
  • Glue Stick
  • Ear Buds (to be used with a Chromebook)
  • A three subject notebook

Cell Phone Policy

Cell phones are to be kept on silent and left in a backpack (not in pant pockets) during instructional time. Students are not to have their phones out in class unless given permission by the teacher. Cell phones are not to be used during passing periods or while walking to and from the bathroom. If a student chooses to use a cell phone during instructional time, it will be taken away and held until a parent can pick it up.

Promotion Expectations

In order to participate in 8th Grade Promotion in June 2017, students must meet the following expectations:

  1. Maintain a cumulative GPA of a 2.0 all three Trimesters
  2. Have no Trimester 3 F's
  3. Have no suspensions during Trimester 3
  4. Have returned all textbooks and library books and/or paid fines for missing books by a date set by Ms. McMinn and Ms. Soykin
